On 01.09.2022 the EDC team laced up their hiking boots and set off for Rochsburg. This year's hiking day took us along the Höhenweg - from where we could admire Rochsburg Castle - via Amerika to Penig.
(Those who know the place know that America is a small town in Saxony. The way across the continent would probably have been a bit too far).
In Penig we had a well-deserved lunch break at the Rollmops tavern and fortified ourselves for the way back. We walked along the Mulde river over the swing bridge back to the castle. We were able to admire the castle from close up and had a sweet snack in the "Choco del Sol" - a small chocolate factory in the castle courtyard.
We completed the 15km circuit in perfect weather. Along the way, there were beautiful views and plenty of time for relaxed conversations far away from the weekly project and development business. Of course, there was still some shop talk.
We are happy about the successful event and ideas for the next round of walks are already being collected.
