The digitalization of machines and sensors is necessary in order to benefit from the advantages of the 4th industrial revolution. With our new technology platform "EDC smartFIT connect", we enable machine manufacturers to cost-effectively implement Industrial IoT-gateways into their products and individually adapt them to specific applications. Standard IoT protocols such as MQTT and OPC UA enable easy connection to local dashboards, databases or cloud storadge.

Every EDC smartFIT gateway is based on 3 PCB modules:

1.) HMI-module - Status-LEDs for device and network

2.) COM-module - Connection to the local network and clouds

3.) CustomIO-module - Individual customizable interface to sensors and machine controls

1.) Specification - Individual concept creation in a specification sheet

2.) Adaption of the platform components (customIO-module and firmware)

3.) Finalisation - Documentation and initiation of series production
